Where your data goes
- During a call: the audio is processed by our voice technology provider to understand and respond to the caller.
- After a call: the recording, transcript and summary are stored in the United States and shown in your dashboard.
- Connected apps: if you connect a calendar, CRM or industry app, the booking or call details are sent to that app.
Data agreements and certifications
- FirstVoice has a signed Data Processing Addendum (DPA) with our voice technology provider.
- FirstVoice has a signed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with our voice technology provider.
- Our voice technology provider holds SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 reports and lists ISO 27001:2022 certification.
Those certifications belong to our provider. FirstVoice itself isn't separately certified.
Your controls
- Choose how long recordings are kept, from a day up to two years.
- Switch call recording off.
- Have personal details redacted from transcripts.
- Export recordings and transcripts whenever you like.
Being honest with callers
- If a caller asks whether they're talking to a person, FirstVoice tells them it's an AI assistant.
- Outbound speed-to-lead calls say up front that it's an AI assistant calling about their enquiry.
- Callers can be told that calls are recorded, and we help you word this for your business.
- FirstVoice won't give medical, legal or financial advice, and directs emergencies to 111.
- It never asks callers for card numbers over the phone.
